Amanda Sturgeon FAIA

Through practice, advocacy and leadership, Amanda Sturgeon has expanded the adoption of green building nationally and internationally. Her passion and commitment create powerful solutions to a restorative future through policy and program adoption.

Beginning in 2010, Amanda Sturgeon FAIA directed the Living Building Challenge at the International Living Future Institute, where she oversaw the program internationally. She has received extensive recognition as a pioneering leader in the green building movement in the Northwest region, where she has lobbied successfully for policy adoption around green building.  A founding board member of the Cascadia Green Building Council, she has served on the board of AIA Seattle and as a visiting Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington.

Amanda won the Betterbricks Architect award in 2008, and in 2011 as AIA/NAIUSI Fellow she spent a month in Italy studying Biophilia and Beauty as a pathway to a restorative future.
