William Trogdon FAIA

William Trogdon FAIA (1925-2020) earned his BArch at UW in 1950 and his MArch in 1953 at Harvard, where he studied under Walter Gropius and interned with Carl Koch and Associates.

Bill Trogdon served two terms as President of AIA Spokane, and in 1977-80 he served on the AIA national Board as a representative of the AIA Northwest & Pacific Region.

Bill first worked with Jones and Bindon and with NBBJ in Seattle.  In the late 1950s Bill became a partner with Walker McGough in Spokane, and later with NAC Architecture.

His work and teaching focused on architecture and urban village design and planning, and the encouragement of historic preservation along with contemporary design.
