Jim Olson FAIA

AIA Seattle Medal of Honor 2007

A resident of Longbranch, Washington from his earliest years, Jim Olson FAIA (UW BArch 1966) has designed highly-regarded residential projects throughout Washington and around the world.

In his early work with Olson/Walker (later Olson/Kundig)  he designed the Pike & Virginia Building and Hillclimb Court -- notable additions to the Pike Place Market.  His renovation of Seattle's St. Mark's Cathedral also won acclaim.

Best known for his houses, Jim Olson has designed museums, religious spaces and commercial buildings.  His work has received widespread publication worldwide.
