Lamp project

The lamp project is intended to give the student a clear brief with some restrictions about size and materials but with a range of freedom to allow the student to explore form, material and manufacture methods. There is an emphasis on the use of 3D modelling (CAD) to both communicate design intent and to offer a method of manufacture. This project should fully prepare students for study at senior level. The buttons below lead to different sections ( lessons) within the project. It is expected that students will create their own portfolio that shows evidence of the work they produce for this project.

At the beginning of the portfolio students should show a clear title, subject and introduction and include the date and their form class as well.
