Masks play an important role in any movie, play or performance. Masks allow the actor to appear and reappear in several different roles. They allow the actor to change their character or emotion quickly and easily and do so in a way that is easy for the audience to follow.
Characters can easily change to the good guy from the bad guy or change from feeling sad to happy just by changing their mask. Masks can be fun for the audience to look at and exaggerate what the actor is trying to show.
Masks can create amazing details and improve the appearance of costume design and make up.
Decorate one of the mask designs below or design and make your own.
If you have a printer, you can print the designs. If not you can draw your own on paper.
If you have a drawing app like Procreate, you can open the attached masks in that and colour them.
The minimum you should so is colour one of the masks in.
If you want to get top marks you should colour the mask, cut it out and mount it on any type of card (a cereal box or old delivery box would work). You could then hand in a picture of you wearing it.
Have Fun and be creative! Make sure you hand in what you have done during the lesson by attaching an image to Google Classroom.
Colour it in. You should do this before you cut it out.
Cut it out carefully using scissors.
Mount it on cardboard using stick glue to give the mask structure and strength then cut it out from card.
