Sketching - using a pencil with a light grip to draw a shape
Rendering - using a pencil crayon to create a coloured fade from dark to light
Fine lining - using a black fiber tip fine line pen to outline your shape with Black ink
Symmetrical - something that is the same on both sides
Line of symmetry - a line that we sketch to help us draw a shape that is symmetrical
Hold the pencil 1/3 of the way up so your lines are light
Hold the pencil crayon close to the tip to render a dark tone
Hold the pencil crayon 1/3 of the way up to render a light tone

Hold the pen close to the tip to have good control.
DO NOT PRESS TOO HARD
Sketch some squares, circles and rectangles using the HB pencil.
Render the shapes.
Use a black fiber tip fine line pen to outline the shapes.
Sketch as many of the basic shapes from the example sheet as you can.
Render the shapes with coloured pencil crayons
Use a black fiber tip fine line pen to outline the shapes.
Sketch some shapes of your own.
You could combine some of the basic shapes or let your pencil flow on the paper to create some abstract shapes.
