Rending is an important part to design and technology. It allows you to visually present you idea or design in a way that can be understood by others. Sometimes its difficult to explain a thought or idea to another person but with a rendered design, the idea in you head can come to life.
Pencil sketching at the start should be very light and soft. We can call this drawing with Ghost lines.
The lines should be so light and soft that you can hardly see them.
If you make a mistake, there should be no need to rub them out if they are light and soft enough.
The second step is to use a black fine line pen. the size most people use is 0.5mm you can see the size by looking at the side of the pen.
The black fine line pen should be used to go over all of the design lines.
There should not be any mistakes and all black pen marks she be extra neat.
The third and final stage is to add colour. This really brings your design to life.
Start but holding the colour right at the end and softly add a very light base colour to the correct shapes.
Now hold the colour pencil normally as if you were writing to add darker edge tones where you want the shadows.
Lastly, hold the colour pencil in the middle and gently blend the light and dark tones together so that they fade in as one shadow.
