Design Brief

Hasbro are an International game manufacturer. They are looking to expand into the Travel game market, and want to develop a range of simple puzzles that can be used during a journey or to keep someone occupied.

For this project you are going to design and manufacture a Travel Puzzle.

Design Restrictions

You must consider the restrictions set out below.

One of the materials that you use will be MDF. This is a sheet of flat wood.
Your puzzle must not be bigger than 150mm x 115mm x 10mm
You must use the Components provided
You must not use more than 5 ball bearings
You must use CAD / CAM to design and manufacture your puzzle
The game must have a start/finish, goal or mechanical moving part

Create a maze that has a start and finish.

You might want a start and finish point in your maze. This could be shown with an S and F or even design a goal like a basket or cup.

Design a moving part within your maze.

This could be something that spins, flips or wobbles as the balls move around. This would create a fun challenge to the travel game.

TASK

Copy the DESIGN BRIEF and DESIGN RESTRICTIONS and add these to your website (Sites). This shows people the context of your project and is a good way to begin the communication of your project work.
