Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Board displays a summary of all the jobs that are currently in production or queued to enter production.
Navigation: Main Menu > Production > Production Planning > Menu (button) > Board

Refresh: Refreshes the board to incorporate any changes.
Actions: Performs the action on all the selected records. The options are:
Update Actions (All Jobs)
Set Start/Finish from Now: Sets the start dates of the jobs at the top of the queue to start immediately and adjusts the other dates accordingly.
Set Start/Finish by Dependency: Sets the start date for jobs based on the start and finish dates of the jobs that must be done first.
Sorting Actions (All Jobs)
Order all Stages by Start Date: This action re-orders the jobs to list them in Start Date sequence.
Order all Stages by Status and Start Date: This action re-orders the jobs to first list them by Status, and then by their Start Dates.
Menu:
Views: Switches to the different views:
Dashboard: A visual representation of all the Stages.
Jobs: A list of all the Jobs in the queue.
Tasks: This view displays all the Tasks in Planning in a grid view.
Materials: A list of all the Materials needed and their Availability.
Outwork: A list of all the outsourced jobs and their Statuses.
Board: This view is an ordered list of the production Stages - each Stage containing an ordered list of Tasks or Groups (Task Packages).
Gantt: A detailed list of every Stage or Job, listing all the tasks and times accompanied by a visual representation.
Timekeeping: A list of all the Timekeeping Records.
Settings
Edit Stages: Creates the stages that are displayed on the graph.

Rep: A dropdown list of Reps for users to select one or more reps. Only displayed if reps are enabled for the transaction type.
Stages: A dropdown list of Stages for users to select one or more stages.
300: The column width of each stage. Can be made narrower or wider.
Compact: If checked, hides the Schedule, Duration, and Progress information.
Columns: There is a column for each stage. Below each stage, the jobs are listed and colour-coded according to their statuses.
Individual Jobs:
Status Bar: Colour-coded to indicate the status of the job. Displays the job number and the Customer.
Description: The field below the Status bar shows the full Description of the job.
Schedule Summary (next to the word Schedule):
Displays the Time to Start (TTS), which will either be a value to indicate the job starts in x number of hours or will show NOW if the job is due to start.
Jobs that are late (according to their Due Dates) will be highlighted red with the word LATE and includes the number of hours.
Jobs are considered late if their due dates are later than today, or the required date.
Schedule Expanded (below the word Schedule):
Start (Est): Displays the Estimated Start Time. Hidden if the job has started.
Start (Act): Displays the Actual Start Time.
Duration Summary (next to the word Duration):
Displays how long the job will take in hours.
Duration Expanded (below the word Duration):
Estimated: Displays the Estimated Hours that the job will take.
Actual: Displays the Actual Hours that the job took.
Progress Summary:
Displays the Quantity that is required next to the word Progress.
Progress Expanded (below the word Progress):
Required Qty: Displays the quantity required.
Complete Qty: Displays the quantity completed.
Menu (...): (right click context menu)
View/Edit Job: Opens a pop-up with the detailed jobs.
View/Edit Note: Opens a note editor to view or create notes.
Highlight: Toggles highlighting the job number in black across all the stages.
Open Kanban Board: Opens a Kanban Board that displays the jobs according to their statuses - one status per column. In this view, jobs can be dragged from one Status to another (e.g. when a Job with a Planned Status can be dragged to Ready Status and the job's Status will be changed).
Open Transaction: Opens the source transaction (e.g. Work Order).
Open Cost of Sales: Opens the Cost of Sales interface and filters to the particular transaction you accessed the report from.
Open Customer Summary: Opens a summary of the customer's information on the right.
Task Actions
Next Status: Sets the next status.
Previous Status: Sets the previous status.
Set to Ready: Sets the status to ready.
Set to Complete: Sets the status to complete.
Stage Actions
Set Start/Finish from Now: Adjusts the Stage to set the Start date of the job at the top to Now and adjusts the times of the other jobs accordingly.
Order by Start Date: Changes the display so that jobs are ordered by their Start Dates.
Order by Status and Start Date: Changes the display so that jobs are first ordered by their Statuses and then by their Start Dates.
View Status Key: Pops up a list of available statuses with their colour-coding.
