Notes can be added to most modules and transactions.
Users may type any information in the notes.
From a transaction users can click the Note icon to create new notes and to display all the notes in the same transaction flow. A transaction flow refers to all the transactions that were copied from each other (e.g. Quotation > Sales Order > Delivery Note > Customer Invoice).
Once a note is opened, users can check the checkbox next to Linked to Company to view all the notes relating to the Customer or Supplier including those on transactions, and on the service manager.
When notes are opened on the right-side panel, a list of attachments is displayed below the notes.
A right-click context menu allows users to Edit or Delete the notes and attachments.
Transactions also have a note block below the reference. Users can type additional information about the transaction in that block. That note is not displayed other than on the transaction and on the list of transactions. (In List View the column named Note, is hidden by default.)
Responses in the service manager are recorded as notes.
If the radio button next to Company is selected, all the notes generated for the Customer or Supplier are displayed in the Responses section.
A note field on the header allows users to type a note that is always displayed when the customer or supplier record is opened.
The field on the colour-coded status bar, next to the dropdown list of Statuses, is for a note to be typed. These notes are not part of the general notes.
For example, Status Bar notes can be used to leave a message for the person that must approve the ticket or transaction.
When viewing a list of transactions, the field Status Note can be added to include the status-bar notes.
