This module allows users to create various Budgets which can be measured and charted against actuals.
Budgets can be linked to Entities, and a maximum of 12 periods (Months or Years) is allowed on one Budget.
Budget parameters such as the type and period cannot be updated once Items are added to the Budget.
Budgets can only be deleted after all the items in the Budget are deleted. Items can be deleted in batches.
Budgets can be copied to create a new budget or a version.
The Budget Statuses are as follows:
Pending: Default status for new budgets. Allows editing. The budget is displayed on the list of budgets.
Active: The budget is currently in use. Editing is no longer allowed. The budget is displayed on the list of budgets.
Complete: The budget is no longer being used. Editing is no longer allowed. The budget is displayed only if the default status selection is changed.
Cancelled: Effectively a soft delete.
The following Budget Types are supported:
Sales by Rep: Add amounts per Rep.
Sales by Customer: Add amounts per Customer. The Rep linked to the Customer is displayed in the grid view.
Sales by Items: Add amounts by Item Category.
Purchases by Supplier: Add amounts by Supplier.
Purchases by Items: Add amounts by Item Category.
Accounting: Add amounts by Account. The Financial Report name and Account Category are displayed in the grid view.
Click Add (button) and select a Rep, Customer, Item Category, Supplier, or Account depending on the type of budget.
Click the dropdown arrow on the Add button for options to add all the available entries to the selected Budget: Inactive Items are deleted, and new Items are added.

Displays a graphical representation of budgets versus actuals. Both a Budget and a Budget item must be selected.
Accounting > Purchases Accounts IDs (e.g. = 2, in (1,2,3)): Allows users to select the accounts for the actual purchase amounts.
Accounting > Sales Accounts IDs (e.g. = 2, in (1,2,3)): Allows users to select the accounts for the actual sale amounts.
Navigation: Main Menu > Setup > Settings > Users (tab)
Accounting > Budgets > Access Allowed: Options include None, View-only, and Full Access.
Full Access is required to edit or create Budgets.
