Batch Updates allow users to update multiple selected records in one batch. Records can be selected using Ctrl + left click or Ctrl + A. A continuous block can be selected by holding down the shift key while selecting the first and last record.
Batch Updates are available for most transaction List Views. They are also available for Edit Views that contain Items.
Batch Updates are also available in the Sales and Service Manager modules.
Navigation: Main Menu > Setup > Settings > Users (tab) > Double-click a User to edit their record
Other > Batch Updates - Access Allowed: Checkbox, if checked access is allowed.
Service Manager > Batch Updates - Access Allowed: Checkbox, if checked access is allowed.
⚠️ Batch Updates:
- Requests confirmation before changing the records.
- Applies to all the selected records, but some records might not be changed because of their statuses (e.g. Opening Stock Check records).
- Mostly replaces the selected data, except for functions used to increase or decrease prices by a specific percentage.
Click Actions (button) on the top row of buttons.
A Batch Update dropdown list will open on the left of the screen.
Select the action you want from the dropdown list.
Fill in the adjacent fields.
Click Update (button).
Note: This button is activated along with the Batch Update feature and appears next to the Batch Update options.
Confirm the change.
Status: Changes the item or transaction status to the selected status.
Rep: Changes the rep to the one selected.
Assign to: Assigns the transaction to the selected user.
Category: Changes the category to the one selected.
Reference: Changes the reference to the one selected.
Due Date: Changes the due date to the one selected on the calendar.
Prices: Available for multiple price options, e.g. unit or fixed costs. Changes the price to the price typed in the adjacent field.
