The Item Summary is part of the context menu (right-click menus) of Transactions (Edit View) and Reports (List View) that use Items. It opens a panel on the right with information about the item. The Item Summary can also be added to any Menu Group, by clicking the Fixed radio button. If the Item Summary is added to a menu, it is also added to the Recent list.
This page explains the information that is on the Item Summary.

ℹ️ The item's description is displayed on the top of the panel in line with the top row buttons.
View: Works in conjunction with the Search block next to it. Displays all the items that match the search criteria.
Refresh: Refreshes the display to include recent changes.
Menu:
Synchronise with open Transaction: Updates the summary to match the item. Applicable to transactions that have multiple items.
Open Item: Opens the material item's edit view.
Refresh: Refreshes the data.

ℹ️ This tab displays the search results. If there are no search results, it displays the name of the current item.
Description: The Description of the item.
Code: The item's Code.
Category: The item's Category.
Subcategory: The item's Subcategory.
Unit: The item's default Unit.
Menu (...): An eye, that if clicked will switch to Detail (tab).
Code: The item's Code.
Reference: The item's reference.
Category: The item's Category.
Subcategory: The item's Subcategory.
Status: The item's Status.
Type: The item's Type (e.g. Material, Assembly, Service).
Unit: The item's default Unit.
Resolve: The default action taken (e.g. Purchase, Produce, Reserve).
Tracking: The tracking option selected for the item (e.g. Batch Tracking).
Field Chooser (*): Allows users to add or remove columns.
Price Lists: A list of linked Sell Prices. If the item is linked to a Price List, the list name and price are also displayed.
Unit: An abbreviation of the Selling Unit.
Fixed Sell: The Fixed Sell price.
Unit Sell: The Unit Sell Price.
Min Qty: The Minimum Quantity that can be sold.
VAT: Whether the price includes (Inc.) or excludes (Exc.) VAT.
CUR: The Currency that the price is in.
Displays the information entered on the Image, Notes & Specs tab of the item's setup.
Note: Any notes entered for the item.
Specification: Any item specifications entered for the item.
Image: An images uploaded for the item.
ℹ️ If there are stock movements but the quantities show zero, increase the number of decimals used in stock quantities. See Settings > General Settings: Items & Inventory > Decimals used to display inventory quantity (0-4).
Stock Quantities (Location)
Location: The item's Location.
Unit: The item's Unit.
In Stock: The quantity in stock.
On Order: The quantity that has been Ordered.
Reserved: The quantity that has been Reserved for orders.
Available: The quantity that is available.
Unit Price: The item's Unit Price.
Checkbox: If ticked, the Item's Location Status is Active.
Stock Checks (Checked)
Date: The date of the last stock check.
Location: The Location where the stock was during the stock check.
Unit: The stock check Unit.
Est Qty: The Estimate Quantity that was on hand (quantity as per transactions in the system).
Act Qty: The Actual Quantity that was counted.
Var Qty: The Variance between the Estimated and Actual Quantities.
Menu (...): An eye, if clicked will open the relevant Stock Check transaction. The transaction can also be opened by double clicking it.
Stock Movements (Graph)
A visual representation of the item's stock movements for the past 12 months with columns for Received, Issued, and In Stock.
Filters and Button Explained
Set: A dropdown list of date options (e.g. This year, Today or No Date for all transactions). Only applicable if Movement is selected as the Type.
Arrows: Adjusts the date field in the direction of the arrow.
Date: From and to dates to filter records.
Type: A dropdown list of stock movement types. The options are:
Movement (default): Shows Goods Received, Issued, and Returned transactions.
On Order: Displays transactions (e.g. Purchase Orders) that have Ordered the inventory.
Reserved: Displays transactions (e.g. Sales Orders) that have Reserved the inventory.
Location: A dropdown list of all the locations at which the item is stored for users to select a specific location.
View (button next to the filters): Displays movement transactions based on the selected filters.
Fields Explained
Field Chooser (*): Allows users to add or remove columns.
ID: The system-generated number for the entry.
Trans ID: The system-generated number for the transaction.
Trans No.: The transaction number.
From: The source document of the transaction indicated with the Transaction Type's Code and Number.
Date: The date of the transaction.
Company: The name of the Customer or Supplier.
Reference: The reference on the transaction.
Location: The inventory Location of the item involved in the transaction.
Updated: The User who updated the transaction.
Unit Price (Base): The Base Unit Price.
Unit Price (Trans): The Transaction's Unit Price.
Unit Price (Stock): The Inventory's Unit Price.
Unit: The Base Unit of the item.
Unit (Trans): The Transaction's Unit.
Qty (Base): The Qty in the Transaction of the Base Unit.
Qty (Trans): The quantity in the transaction.
Received: The quantity received.
Issued: The quantity issued.
Balance: The quantity on hand after the transaction.
Menu (...) > Open Transaction: Opens the transaction. The transaction can also be opened by double-clicking it.
ℹ️ This tab is only displayed if Batch Tracking is enabled on the item.

Batch No.: The item's Batch Number.
Expires: The batch's expiry date.
Bin Ref: The item's Bin Number.
Location: The item's Location.
Qty: The Quantity of the item at the location.
Unit Price: The item's unit price.
Balance: The balance of the item that was in Stock after the transaction.
Note: An icon that can be clicked to create a note.
Unit: The item's Unit.
Trans No.: The batch's transaction number (the transaction that created the batch).
Date: The date of the transaction.
From: The document that the batch transaction was copied from.
ℹ️ This tab is only displayed if Serial No. Tracking is enabled on the item.
Only the serial numbers that are in stock are displayed on the summary. The full list is under Inventory Reports > Serial Numbers.

No.: The transaction number.

MatUnit ID: The system-generated number allocated to the Item.
Status: The Status of the Item.
Costing: The Status of the Costing.
Trans No.: The Transaction Number of the dependency entry.
Description: The item's Description.
Reference: The item's Reference.
Category: The item's Category.
Code: The item's Code.
Qty: The quantity required in the Assembly.
Unit: The Unit used in the Assembly.
Menu (...): An eye that can be clicked to open the item's setup page.
Set: A dropdown list of date options (e.g. This Year, Today or No Date for all transactions).
Arrows: Adjusts the date field in the direction of the arrow.
Date: From and to dates to further refine the option chosen under Set.
Radio Buttons: Transactions for the selected radio button are displayed. The options are:
Purchases: Displays a list of all the transactions that are used to Purchase the item (e.g. Purchase Orders).
Item Links: Displays a list of Linked Transactions (e.g. Goods Received, Supplier Invoices, and Purchase Orders) that are linked to the item.
Header Links: Displays all the Transactions that have a link to the Header Items. Header Links are only available if the feature Link to Item under the Transaction setup is used.
View (button next to the filters): Refreshes or generates the list of transactions.
ℹ️ Not all these fields are available when selecting Header Links.

ID: The system-generated number for the transaction.
Status: The Status of the transaction.
Trans No: A code indicating the Transaction Type (e.g. PO-INV) and its number.
Date: The date of the transaction.
From: The source document of the transaction indicated with the Transaction Type's Code and Number.
Company: The name of the Customer or Supplier.
Total (Currency): The transaction amount in its Currency if the currency is not the local currency.
Type: The type of action (e.g. Order, Receive).
Location: The inventory Location of the item involved in the transaction.
Tracking: The item's tracking information.
Qty (Trans): The quantity of the item in the transaction.
Unit (Trans): The unit of the item in the transaction. item's Unit.
Unit (Base): The item's Base Unit.
Qty (Base): The item's Base Quantity.
Price: The Unit Price in its Currency.
Price (Local): The Unit Price in Local Currency.
Total (exc): The transaction amount excluding VAT.
Cur: The Currency used in the transaction.
Menu (...): Open Transaction.
