Production Planning assists organisations in managing all their production tasks. The Materials interface displays the status of all the materials that are needed for the upcoming jobs.
Navigation: Main Menu > Production > Production Planning > Menu (button) > Materials

View: Generates a list of materials based on the selected filters.
Actions: Performs the action on all the selected records. The options are:
Batch Update: Allows users to perform an action on all the selected records once the information is supplied and Update (button) clicked.
Status (Item): Changes the item's Status to the one selected on the dropdown list.
Purchase Orders:
Displays the name of the linked purchase order.
Creates purchase orders for all the selected items for their outstanding quantities (which can be edited on the purchase order).
Sets the applicable items to the first Active status unless it is on a higher status.
Only displayed if:
Purchase is selected as the filter next to Show.
A Purchase Order is selected for the Transaction Setting: Production Planning > Transaction Used for Purchases.
Goods Issued:
Displays the name of the linked Goods Issued transaction.
Creates goods-issued transactions for all the selected items for their outstanding quantities (which can be edited on the goods issued).
Sets the applicable items to the first Complete status unless it is on a higher status.
Only displayed if:
Reserve is selected as the filter next to Show.
A Goods Issued is selected for the Transaction Setting: Production Planning > Transaction Used for Goods Issues.
Menu:
Reset Data Filters: Resets the connected filters.
Views: Switches to the different views:
Dashboard: A visual representation of all the Stages.
Jobs: A list of all the Jobs in the queue.
Tasks: This view displays all the Tasks in Planning in a grid view.
Materials: A list of all the Materials needed and their Availability.
Outwork: A list of all the outsourced jobs and their Statuses.
Board: This view is an ordered list of the production Stages - each Stage containing an ordered list of Tasks or Groups (Task Packages).
Gantt: A detailed list of every Stage or Job, listing all the tasks and times accompanied by a visual representation.
Timekeeping: A list of all the Timekeeping Records.

Edit Stages: Creates the stages that are displayed on the graph.

Set: Allows users to select a date option (e.g. Today, This week, or to select No Date to view all the records).
Arrows: Adjusts the dates in the direction of the arrow.
Date ... to: Allows users to customise the date selection.
Radio Buttons
Due Date: Works with the date fields. Only displays materials that are due during the selected dates.
Req Date: Works with the date fields. Only displays materials that are required during the selected dates.
Start Date: Works with the date fields. Only displays materials that have start dates during the selected dates.
Show: A dropdown list to filter records according to one of these options:
All: Displays all the records.
Outstanding: Displays only records with outstanding quantities.
Complete: Displays all the completed records.
Reserve: Displays materials that are reserved. Used to generated Goods-Issued transactions.
Purchase: Displays materials that must be purchased. Used to generate Purchase Orders.
Field Chooser (*): Allows users to add or remove columns.
VATITEMID: The system-generated number for the VAT on the item.
Status (Trans): The transaction's Status.
Trans: An abbreviation of the Transaction Type.
Trans No. The transaction's number and line item. The column header displays WO No. (Work Order Number).
From: The transaction that was copied to create the Work Order.
Date: The transaction's date.
Req Date: The date on which the Customer requires the order to be complete / delivered.
@ (Req Time): The Time by which the job must be delivered to the customer.
Start Date: The date on which the task was started.
Start Time: The time on which the task was started.
Due Date: The date on which production must complete the job.
@ (Due Time): The Time by which productions must complete the job.
Company: The Customer requiring the job.
Status (Item): The item's Status.
Description: The item's description.
Code: The item's code.
Reference: The item's reference.
Category (Item): The item's category.
Subcategory (Item): The item's subcategory.
Supplier: The name of the supplier that provides the materials.
Code (Item): The item's code.
Reference (Item): The item's reference.
Resolve: The action taken on the item (e.g. Reserve).
Location: The material item's location.
In Stock: The quantity that is In Stock.
On Order: The quantity that has been ordered.
Reserved: The quantity that is reserved for jobs.
Available: The quantity that is available.
Qty (Req): The quantity that is required.
Unit: The material item's Unit.
Qty (GI): The quantity on the Goods Issued.
Qty (PO): The quantity on the Purchase Order.
Qty (Out): The quantity that is Outstanding.
Due Date (PO): The Due Date of the Purchase Order.
Status (PO): The Status of the Purchase Order.
Last PO: The number of the last Purchase Order.
Last GI: The number of the last Goods Issued.
Menu (...): A context menu that can also be accessed by right clicking a line item.
Open Last PO: Opens the purchase order displayed in the Last PO field.
Open Last GI: Opens the goods issued displayed in the Last GI field.
Open Transaction: Opens the underlying transaction (e.g. Work Order).
View linked Transaction: Opens a list of transactions that are linked to the material on the right panel.
TransID: The system-generated number allocated to the transaction.
