Custom Actions

Overview

• Actions can be used in the following modules:

  • Transactions 

  • Trackers

  • Reports

  • Production Planning

• Actions can also be Unlinked, in which case they can be added directly to the Menu.

• Actions use Items to implement the following functionality, which is explained in more detail in the sub-topics of this section.

  • Message: Generates an Error, Information, Confirmation, or Warning message.

  • Update SQL : SQL is used to update the data.

  • Create a New Record: Creates a new record in Transactions, Classes, or Workflow.

  • Open Transaction 

  • Open Report

  • Copy Rule: Implements a Transaction Copy Rule.

Note

• If multiple transactions are actioned, ONLY the Error messages are checked before completing the Action. 

• The Action starts with a standard confirmation message (similar to Batch Updates) and ends with an Information message that displays the number of records that have been updated and a log of error messages for the records that have not been updated.
