Born Peter Max Finkelstein on October 19, 1937, in Berlin, Germany
In 1938, his family fled Germany and settled in Shanghai, China. They lived there for ten years.
His family moved to in Israel in 1948, then moved to Paris, and finally moved to NYC in 1953
A painter and graphic designer, Max is known for using bright colors and psychedelic images.
He created works of art for presidents, music albums, Super Bowl, World Cup, and World Series
