Born Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso on October 25, 1881, in Málaga, Spain.
His father was an artist and Pablo learned painting techniques at a young age; he had his first art exhibit at age 13.
Went through several periods of time when he painted along a theme; most notably the Blue Period (1901-1904), the Rose Period (1905-1907), the African-influenced Period (1908-1909) and Cubism (1909-1919).
Died on April 8, 1973 at the age of 91 in Mougins, France.
