Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Believe it or not, we are almost halfway through the first quarter. Please be sure to check your Skyward account and ask your student about any missing assignments. Next week is the last week before Progress Reports.
Today our 8th graders were introduced to the opportunities that are offered at Crooms Academy of Information and Technology. Ask your student about the presentation in Science today.
We do need your help with a couple of things we have started to notice:
Cellphones - please remind your student that they are not allowed to be on their cellphone - not even if it's in class and they finish early - not even if they are in the gym after changing clothes and waiting for the bell.
Horseplay - We have noticed an increase in horseplay on campus. So many times, students say that they were "just playing" but it so often goes to far - "I didn't mean it that way" or "I didn't mean to hit that hard" is what we are most often told. Please talk with your students about keeping their hands to themselves, minding personal space, and only using nice words.
We also hope to see you all on September 21 at 6 pm for our Open House. Please see the flyer below.
Thank you for your support to make this a successful year for our Panthers!
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
