Dear LCMS Panther Families,
We could use your support in a few issues we are seeing around campus. I had to get on the intercom earlier this week to remind students:
Slippers are not shoes. Students are not to wear slippers to school.
Blankets are not clothing. Please see that your children are dressed appropriately when it is cold.
It is a state law that students are not on their phone or other electronics during instructional time. This includes smart watches, Nintendo Switch, ear buds and all other devices. It is not the teacher's rule. It is not my rule. It is state law. Put the electronics away.
Please speak with your children about these concerns - especially regarding the electronics. We are starting to have students argue back with subs and teachers when they are told to put their phones away. Students who do not comply will receive consequences.
We appreciate your support with these issues.
Have a great break!
Don't forget, Panthers always:
Practice Safety
Act Responsibly
Work Hard
Show Respect
Go Panthers! #PawsUp
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
