Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Thank you for all of the amazing treats that PTSA provided for Teacher Appreciation Week. We also greatly appreciate the PTSA Stock the Fridge event!
However, we still need your help. As of right now, only 5 people have volunteered to help with the 8th grade Dance on Saturday, May 20. If we do not reach the required 20 chaperones (and help for set up and take down), we will not be able to hold this dance. I know you all will come through - please sign up below!!
Usually, 6th & 7th grade parents step up and do this so that 8th grade parents can do dance pictures and help their children get ready - but, at this point - we need anyone and everyone!! Please be sure to sign up below. You must be a registered Dividend (register here: https://dvd.scps.k12.fl.us/ )

On a personal note, thank you so much for the outpouring of support for my family during this tragedy. For those who did not hear, we lost my niece's 2 1/2 year old son this week to a tragic drowning incident. My niece teaches at Walker ES and you may have seen it on the Walker ES Facebook page. When my niece, Mrs. Rowley, texted me asking "Does Paws Up have something to do with your school?" I knew that you all were donating and offering your support and I thank you all. Her first group of Walker Hurricanes are now our 8th graders and she is overwhelmed by your support. I truly love being part of the LCMS/Oviedo/Chuluota/Geneva family. This is the perfect example of the benefit of living in our small town.
Have a great week!

All players 10-13 are invited - those zoned Hagerty or Oviedo - Boys and Girls - come learn from HS coaches!

8th grade Dance Snacks:
Please consider donating the below items for the 8th-grade dance on May 20th. We will be serving individually wrapped snack-size items at the dance.
8th grade Dance Chaperones:
The 8th-grade committee is in need of 6th and 7th-grade parents to chaperone the 8th-grade dance. It is a tradition at LCMS that 6th and 7th-grade parents chaperone the dance so the 8th-graders can enjoy a special night. It is always a fun time and gives you a glimpse into what a big celebration the 8th-grade dance is!
You must be a registered Dividend to volunteer. Please see the links below to register.
8th grade Spirit Week Volunteers:
8th grade spirit week is coming up! We need volunteers to pass out special treats to our 8th graders during lunchtime. You must be an approved Dividend to volunteer.
Please email LCMS8thgradecomm@gmail.com with questions or concerns regarding any of these events.
