Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Thank you to those families who have already donated to our Mega Blast Fundraiser. As of 8 pm last night, we have raised $25,296 towards our goal of $40,000. Please keep sharing to family and friends nationwide!!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani

Parents - Just a couple of reminders and a new procedure:
Reminders
1 - We do not accept any items for drop off of any kind (lunch, homework, PE clothes, band instrument, projects, etc).
2 - Students may not be checked out after 3:30 pm (2:30 pm on Wednesdays).
New Policy
Effective immediately, cars may not line up for end of the day dismissal until 3:30 pm (2:30 pm on Wednesday). We have had issues with the overlap of early release pickup and regular dismissal pickup. It has become a safety hazard for our early dismissal students and causing a bottleneck blocking both lanes.
On Monday, November 6 during 1st period, the Leadership Team will be coming around to all classrooms to talk regarding Discipline issues and reminding students of the PAWS expectations. Please remind your students of the expectations below. Appropriate behaviors include:
Keep your hands and feet to yourself (even if you are just joking - don't do it!)
Walk in the hallways/courtyard - running is not safe
Use appropriate language - no cursing or racial slurs
Show respect - this includes cleaning up after yourself. Throw your trash away instead of leaving it on the table or floor.
Remember #PawsUp
Our PBIS slogan is PawsUp!
Please help us to remind our students to exhibit these behaviors campus-wide.
We are also working with our students in C lunches (all C lunches, all week) on cleaning up after themselves. Our Growl Grill restaurant, and our outside dining patio, is more like a fast food restaurant where you are required to throw away your own trash. Unfortunately, we have several students who treat it more like a fine dining establishment and get up leaving all of their trash on the table. We are talking with individual tables and students, but we would appreciate your assistance with this. This would be a good reminder for all students at all lunches.
On Wednesday's episode of Paws52, SGA members launched their campaigns for Student Government. Elections will be held next Wednesday in WIN, please check out the campaign videos here: https://youtu.be/0l0z1LQn_YM?si=ulcjuVUeing6Pgm2

The Florida League of Mayors will give a 7th or 8th grader a $1000 scholarship for writing 250 impactful words, and I am certain that one of our students here in Oviedo can win! Please share this opportunity with the middle schoolers in your life. The deadline is January 31, and the topic is "If I were elected mayor." Here's more information.
