We are seeing an increase in students turning in work that is identical to another student's work. Please remind your child that any form of copying, cheating, or academic dishonesty goes against the SCPS Honor Code which can be found in the SCPS Code of Conduct. Included below is a picture of that policy.
If you have not done so yet, today is the deadline to select your student's courses for the 2024-2025 school year.
Step 1 - Visit the Registration Page of the LCMS website (link on homepage https://www.lcms.scps.k12.fl.us/ ).
Step 2 - On the Registration Page - follow the link for your child's grade level. There you can find the 2024-2025 Curriculum Guide to review the course options. That is also where you will find the Registration Form. Enter your requests in the Google Registration Form by this Friday, February 16
Step 3 - Students will use the information in the Google Registration Form to enter their requests in Skyward in class on the following dates:
2/21-2/22 - Current 6th gr Registration in World History Classes

Schedules will be run over the summer. Students will be able to view next year's schedule on Thursday, August 1.

Beginning on January 30th, parents in Seminole County Public Schools will have the opportunity to take part in the Snapshot Survey. Results from this survey will help us to improve our school and will be used to create a more transparent school report card called the Snapshot Report. The Snapshot Report features a snapshot of parent and student perceptions as well as other critical data points.
Parents, please assist us by participating in this very short survey that will allow you to provide input in your own words about Lawton Chiles Middle School. The survey will ask how likely you are to recommend our school to others and will provide an opportunity for you to tell us about your experience.
Please click on the link below to access the survey:

All responses are collected anonymously, and no personally identifiable information will be included as a part of the survey. The survey will be open from January 30th to March 1s .
