MegaBlast Fundraiser

Just a quick thank you for helping your student with this important fundraiser to help our school! It has been an AMAZING fundraiser! Thanks for your participation and support! Since our MEGA BLAST fundraiser ends next Monday, November 13th, please log back into your students Personal Donation Page and be sure your student has reached the goal they set. Every dollar raised makes a difference for our students!

If you haven’t already done so, you can register quickly and email friends and family for support. Once registered, you can also send them a text via our site. $60 or more in donations earns your student an invitation to MEGA BLAST event on November 30th!

Good afternoon everyone,

We recently learned the news of the passing of another beloved Honorary School Crossing Guard, Odell Watson. Odell was a cherished member of our crossing guard family and touched the lives of many in our community. His dedication to safety and his warm spirit will always be remembered.

The Watson family has organized a Celebration of Life to honor Odell's memory, and they extend an invitation to all who would like to pay their respects. Here are the details:

Date: November 11, 2023

Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Service: 10:00 am

Location: Lake Mills Park, 1301 Tropical Ave, Chuluota, FL 32766, Pavilion 1

The Watson family would like to create a space for anyone who wishes to share their thoughts and memories of Odell during the service. If you have a special memory or message you'd like to convey, they would be honored to hear it.

We understand Odell's passing is a great loss to our community, and this gathering is an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the life of a remarkable individual.

Please join us in remembering Odell and offering our support to his family during this difficult time. Your presence and kind words can provide comfort to his loved ones.

Young Innovators Day Care Parking Lot

Please be aware that the Young Innovators Parking Lot is private property. We have been notified of parents parking in their lot, smoking and recording the playgrounds. Oviedo PD has been notified. Do not use their parking lot for student pickup.

Drop-offs/Pick-ups and New Carline Procedure

Parents - Just a couple of reminders and a new procedure:

Reminders

1 - We do not accept any items for drop off of any kind (lunch, homework, PE clothes, band instrument, projects, etc). 

2 - Students may not be checked out after 3:30 pm (2:30 pm on Wednesdays).  

New Policy

Effective immediately, cars may not line up for end of the day dismissal until 3:30 pm (2:30 pm on Wednesday). We have had issues with the overlap of early release pickup and regular dismissal pickup. It has become a safety hazard for our early dismissal students and causing a bottleneck blocking both lanes. 

Club Listing - UPDATED 11/10

We are still working out the logistics for some of our clubs. However, some are up and ready to get started.

Step 2 - Parents must click the link for the Permission Form and give permission for their student to attend. Take a note of the date and time.

Step 3 - Students then attend the club meetings and have fun! Any student who shows up for a meeting without the parent permission will not be allowed to stay.
