Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Wow - what a week! Below are just a sampling of the pictures we shared on social media this week of all of the fun happenings on campus. If you are on Facebook or Instagram, follow us so you can see all the great things going on. We enjoyed seeing all of our Panthers dress up every day this week for Red Ribbon Week. Our Panthers also had a blast at the MegaBlast Field Day yesterday! Thank you for all of your support for our school-wide fundraiser. The money raised is being spent on devices and increased security measures.
Q1 Report Cards have been finalized and can be found in Skyward under "Portfolio". Those students who received All As are invited to our Q1 A Honor Roll Celebration on Thursday, November 7. Students will be called down to the Growl Grill when it is time for the celebration.
If your student is struggling and could use some assistance, our After School Tutorial starts this week. Please see the flyer below for more information. The only transportation provided is a bus that will drop students off at Geneva Elementary School after Tutorial. Please be sure to complete the registration below before your child can attend.
Congratulations to our Students of the Month (seen below).
Have a great week!
Don't forget, Panthers always:
Practice Safety
Act Responsibly
Work Hard
Show Respect
Go Panthers! #PawsUp
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani

As you may already know, LCMS serves our families in need through our food pantry. We have been overwhelmed by the generous donations we have received throughout the year to help keep the pantry stocked. This year, we are looking to help provide families with a little extra assistance for the Thanksgiving holiday. If you are interested in sponsoring a Thanksgiving meal for one of our 30 families in need, we will be hosting a “Thanksgiving in a Basket.” Using the link below, you can sign-up to sponsor a family and drop of the listed items at the school in a basket. The sponsorship will be anonymous and we will facilitate providing the items to the family. This is a great way to help our fellow LCMS families during the holiday season.

Beginning on November 6, 2024, students in grades 6 - 8 will have the opportunity to participate in the Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) Safety Survey.
In the SCPS Strategic Plan, System Initiative D: Conditions for Learning outlines conditions that benefit student learning. One of the conditions for learning is physical safety. Student learning is optimized when students feel safe and have supportive, positive relationships with peers and adults on a school campus. Student voice is an important part of continuously improving conditions for learning and making actionable changes on a school campus.
Students’ identities on all surveys will be completely confidential. Teachers or administrators will never see individual responses to survey questions. To review the survey questions, please go to https://www.scps.k12.fl.us/district/departments/assessmentaccountability/5essentials/
If you DO NOT want your student to participate, fill out the information in the letter below and ask your student to return it to the office.
It's time to enter the PTSA Reflections Contest. Please see links below for more information.
Some clubs have not yet started. Please see the chart below for more information.
Don't forget: The Google form MUST be completed by parents/guardians BEFORE a student can attend a club meeting.
Step 1 - Click the link below to view the list of clubs.
Step 2 - Parents must click the link for the Permission Form and give permission for their student to attend. Take a note of the date and time. These forms will be added closer to the start of the school year.
Step 3 - Students then attend the club meetings and have fun! Any student who shows up for a meeting without the parent permission will not be allowed to stay.
***Club listing is a live document. Check back for updates.
Reminder while you are back to school shopping, crop tops do not meet dress code and should not be worn to school. For full dress code information, please visit: https://cdnsm5-ss20.sharpschool.com/.../Pol.../DressCode.pdf
