Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Beginning on January 28th, students in grades 6,7,8 will have the opportunity to participate in two important feedback surveys.
Students will participate in a short perception survey called the Snapshot Survey. The results of the Snapshot Survey will be collected and analyzed by a local data analytics firm and utilized to create a school report card, called the Snapshot Report, that will feature student perceptions as well as other school data points. Students will rate how likely they are to recommend their school to other students and describe in their own words what they like most about their school and what they would like to improve about their schools.
Students will participate in the 5Essentials Survey. This survey, developed by the University of Chicago Consortium on Chicago School Research, asks students about their experiences in school. Having direct information from students is critical for developing plans to improve schools.
Please see the parent letter for more information. 5Essentials and Snapshot Survey Letter
Have a great week!
Don't forget, Panthers always:
Practice Safety
Act Responsibly
Work Hard
Show Respect
Go Panthers! #PawsUp
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
We are actively preparing for the 2025-2026 school year, and we are excited to welcome our incoming ninth graders! Hagerty will begin student course selection during the months of January/February for students who will be in ninth grade. On the Registration below is a link for the 2025-2026 Curriculum Guide, registration video, as well as a Google Form to make course requests. This is a new format for course selection, so please ensure that students have completed their requests by February 7th. Feeder middle school students will meet with the high school counselors to review selected courses relative to their four-year high school plan in March. We ask that you utilize the QR Codes attached to access the aforementioned documents.
Do you have a 5th grader who will be coming to LCMS next year? Do you have a neighbor or a friend with a 5th grader? Share this flyer with them. We can't wait to meet our future Panthers!!
