Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Yesterday, we recognized 394 students who earned all As on their 1st quarter report cards. That's almost 1/3 of our student population! 104 out of our 115 8th graders had over a 4.0 GPA, and 70 out of our 160 7th graders had over a 4.0 GPA. There were three students with exceptional GPAs for 7th and 8th grade (HS credit Honors courses allow GPAs to be over 4.0. All 6th graders recognized had a 4.0).
7th grader Austin Martino - 4.1
8th grader Hallie Webb - 4.125
8th grader Jacob Thacker - 4.125
Congratulations Panthers!!
Tonight is the All County Chorus Concert. Congratulations to the students who will be participating.
Have a great week!
Don't forget, Panthers always:
Practice Safety
Act Responsibly
Work Hard
Show Respect
Go Panthers! #PawsUp
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
The first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of class are “freeze time”. No one should be using the restroom during this time. Students have plenty of time to use the restroom during class change if they prioritize that over socializing. Please encourage your students to do so.
If a student wants to request an appointment with their counselor, they can scan the QR codes in the classrooms/hallways, or they can submit a request using the form in the Student All LCMS eCampus course.
Please do not allow students to bring large bags of chips or candy or 2 liter bottles. If students bring these items, they will be sent to the front office to drop off the items. They will be able to pick them up at the end of the day.
After School Tutorial started this week. It is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15-5:15. There is a bus that goes from LCMS to Geneva ES for those students who live in Geneva. Register your student here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd3qtyZUSVzqAlu0YCsEabOLXGVYcSSad1ESQOt6i-GNWaHoQ/viewform
It has been brought to our attention that some of our parents have unknowingly joined a fraudulent Facebook group claiming to be distributing and discussing information related to LCMS. Please be aware - the group in the picture below is not run by current LCMS parents, has no connection to PTSA or the school, and does not have our permission to use our logo.
