Dear LCMS Panther Families,
It was so wonderful to welcome our Future Panthers at last night's Spring Showcase.
Please be aware that FEV Tutoring is temporarily on hold. We will notify you once it is available again.
Have a great week!
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
We are still seeing a considerable amount of horseplay around campus - "She poked me in the ribs" - "He kicked the back of my knee while I was standing in line" - "He grabbed the back of my neck" and more. Please, please, please ... address this with your children. Tell them to keep their hands and feet to themselves, and, if they see something, they need to tell an adult. We cannot stop it if we don't hear about it. I frequently hear from parents, "My child said it's been happening for months." We cannot stop it if we don't hear about it. Please encourage them to tell an adult as soon as something happens.
SCPS Community Involvement is excited to be returning to Lawton Chiles Middle School - Seminole County Public Schools!
We'll be bringing "Living on My Own" to selected students at Lawton Chiles Middle School - Seminole County Public Schools on Wed, 2/22 and Thu, 2/23 with our partners UF IFAS Extension Seminole County and the support of business partners, community members, LCMS PTSA, and volunteers like you! This financial literacy program offers students a view into their futures and the financial decisions they will make. We have all the information you will need to support the students in the "Living on My Own City" during the real-life simulation portion of this program. Mr. Borosky's 8th grade Lightbulb students will be participating in this event.
Volunteers are needed to make this event possible! Consider joining us to share information with the students, to gather strategies to discuss financial literacy with your own students, and to see what happens during the simulation in the "Living on My Own" city!
We need about 15 more volunteers for Wednesday or Thursday or BOTH!!

We need to hear from you! This is your opportunity to have your voice heard. Please compete this survey by March 3. So far, only about 40 parents have completed the survey. Follow this link to share your thoughts: https://www.scps.k12.fl.us/district/departments/assessment-accountability/5essentials/index.stml
Your students should also be completing surveys in class. If they have not yet done so, they can complete theirs by clicking the Student Survey in Clever.
