Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Happy New Year! We hope that you had a restful break.
As we start this new year, we are taking the opportunity to reset. I feel encouraged as we start the new year when we all begin with a reset to our core values. I need for our students to know that we as Panthers are resetting to our Panther Expectations as we begin 2025. We will be discussing this with students at all lunches and during the 8th grade student meeting Tuesday, January 7.
Please review the PAWS Expectations with your children and have them consider how they apply to their everyday life. Thank you for joining us in this endeavor.
Have a great week!
Don't forget, Panthers always:
Practice Safety
Act Responsibly
Work Hard
Show Respect
Go Panthers! #PawsUp
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
When students start school Monday, January 6, they are to report to their 1st period class that they attended in the 1st semester. There, they will get a printed copy of their 2nd semester schedule. Then, if their 1st period is different this semester, they will change to their new 1st period class.
If your student would like to change an elective course for the Spring semester, please complete this form.
Please note: All students are required to take 1 semester of PE each year. All students must take Learning Pathways and at least 1 other pathways course before leaving middle school.
Deadline to submit: Friday, January 10. No schedule changes will be made after January 10th.
To increase security, we have added a new fence to connect the fence around the bus loop to the front office. As a result, students and community members can no longer cut through from the bus loop to the car ramp. If you live on 419 and your child crosses at the crossing guard, please be sure to plan their arrival before the 9:25 am bell. After the bus ramp door closes, students will need to follow the sidewalk from 419 to Sanctuary Drive and around to the main entrance to enter campus.
Our 2nd annual LCMS Market Day is coming up!! We are looking for vendors. If you are someone with a small business or know someone, please share this event. We would love to have you join us! For more information, please email lcmsptsaevents@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see everyone!
