Dear LCMS Panther Families,

This time of year is full of celebrations and awards! Please see the photo carousel below for images of these recognitions:

Congratulations to Mila Kiray for taking 1st place at the Seminole County UF IFAS Extension Seminole 4-H Speaking Contest for her speech "Speaking Two Languages". Congratulations to Eleanor Cronin who placed 2nd place for her individual website at the State History Fair Competition and will advance to the National History Fair in Washington D.C.

Congratulations to the 26 of the 8th grade members of our Jr. Thespian Troupe who were inducted into the International Thespian Society after earning the qualifying points through the school year. 

Congratulations to the former Panthers who are now members of the graduating class of 2025! We were so happy to have them come by this week to visit their former school and teachers. 

Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team who celebrated a great 2025 season at their end of season banquet this week.

Thank you to PTSA for all of the amazing treats throughout the week! Thank you also to Addition Financial for the Coffee Bar and Red Apple Dining for the delicious lunch.

Congratulations to PTSA Vice President Heather Zimmerman for clocking 1,000 volunteer hours this school year! Most of her hours at LCMS have been spent in the Lorenzo Library. 

Tonight is the 8th grade Dance from 6-8 pm. We will post videos on Facebook and Instagram so stay tuned for highlights! We also can't wait to see what they come up with for Spirit Week next week.

Skyward Attendance During Testing

During state testing, students may be marked absent by their teachers.  Our attendance office will make corrections within the week.  If your child's attendance is still incorrect after this time, please email lcms_attendance@scps.k12.fl.us . Teachers are unable to change attendance after the school day ends.

Student Test Results

You can view your student's scores in Skyward Family Access (you must use an internet browser not the app) within 48 hours of test completion.

8th grade Spirit Week

Next week is 8th Grade Spirit Week for our class of 2025! Each day students are invited to dress to the theme of the day, will be allowed to eat lunch outside and receive a special gift/treat from the PTSA 8th Grade Committee! We cannot wait to celebrate our students' final days here at LCMS! (no face/body paint allowed)

Also - 8th graders - visit the Growl Grill before school during Spirit Week to paint a rock and leave your legacy in the Unity Rock Garden!

PE locker clean-out

Student P.E. Lockers need to be clean out by Thursday, 5/22.  All items including locks must be cleared out.

Any item left after this date will be donated.

Testing Schedule & Bell Schedule

May 1st, we started our FAST and EOC testing.  Students will be tested as indicated in the schedule below.

There are 4 days that will be flipped - meaning 7th period will start at 9:30 am and 1st period will end at 4:05 pm. They are also indicated below.

5/9 - FAST MATH 6 - flip 7-1

5/12 - FAST MATH 7

5/13 - ALG/GEO EOC - flip 7-1

5/22 - 7th pd exam 

5/23 - 5th & 6th pd exams - dismissal at 2:05 pm

5/27 - 3rd & 4th pd exams - dismissal at 2:05 pm

5/28 - 1st & 2nd pd exams - dismissal at 2:05 pm 

Please encourage your child to get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast so that they are ready for their testing days.

Tdap Vaccine - Required for rising 7th graders

Is your student entering 7th grade next year? Don't forget they need their Tdap booster (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) or a valid exemption to start school on time in the Fall!

We're making it easy for you — SCPS Health Services, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health-Seminole, is hosting five Tdap Vaccination Clinics around Seminole County this March and April. 

No pediatrician? No insurance? No worries! This clinic is here to help our families get it done!

Planning to attend? Please visit the DOH-Seminole immunization portal at FL Immunization Screening Portal | Immunization Form (floridahealth.gov) to complete the forms ahead of time and expedite your visit.
