11/21-11/25 Thanksgiving Break
Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Thank you to those who particpated in and supported the PTSA Fundraiser. The vinyls were installed this week and look great (see picture below)!
We also have a group of students who were recognized this week as our September and October Students of the Month, selected by their ELA/Reading or Math/Science teachers. Congratulations to the students listed below!!
During the past week, the Administration Team visited all 1st period classes to speak with students regarding some behaviors we are seeing. The message we shared is included below:
Good morning. All members of the Admin Team are visiting classrooms this morning to discuss with you some concerns we are having around campus about inappropriate behavior. This includes:
· Aggression – such as pushing and shoving, hitting, slapping, kicking, and threating to harm someone. These actions can cause injury or lead to a physical altercation or fight amongst each other.
· Horseplaying – such as reckless, rowdy, or rough behaviors that can injury to other students.
· Inappropriate language – such as profanity, racial slurs, name calling, and teasing - some of these can lead to immediate suspension.
· Classroom disruptions – such as any behaviors or conduct that interferes with the teacher teaching and students learning.
Please understand that these behaviors can lead to a discipline referral with severe consequences and your parents will be notified. However, we want to be able to support all students by keeping you safe and providing an environment on campus that is conducive to learning. We need to make sure that you know that none of this is acceptable and that you feel comfortable reporting waht you see to us. If you are having any concerns about inappropriate behaviors, whether it is a problem for you or you need to report a problem, you can go to our Student Services Office which is located 4-001. See Mrs. Borosky and she will have you write a statement.
Again, the message for today is to keep all hands, feet, and inappropriate comments to ourselves. Thank you
Student safety is of the utmost importance. I continue to stress to students that my 2 goals for them are to learn things and be safe, and nothing will be allowed to interfere with those goals.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Lastly, Monday is a normal school day. No costumes or large bags of candy will be allowed and will be taken for pickup at the end of the day. This also includes costume makeup and/or props. Students should dress as if it were a normal school day.
Have a great weekend!

Please take note of our No Drop Off policy. To increase security on our campus, the administration does not allow items to be dropped off for students in the front office. This includes, but is not limited to: lunches, projects, textbooks, homework, etc. Also, there is no student check out after 3:30pm (2:30 on Wednesdays).
While we do understand this may prove to be inconvenient to you and your student, please understand that the security and safety of all our students and staff is our Number One concern. Please review with your student what is needed each day for school in order to stop the need for dropping off materials. We appreciate your understanding and full cooperation.
Please read the information regarding our SCPS Safety Survey. The purpose of the safety survey is to provide your student with the opportunity to voice their concerns regarding the conditions that benefit student learning and campus safety. If you do not want your student to participate in the survey, please sign the letter and return it to the front office by October 28th, 2022.
The SCPS Safety survey will be administered online. To preview the questions that students will respond to click here.
