Dear LCMS Panther Families,
Thank you PTSA for the amazing 8th grade Spirit Week! Thank you also to the volunteers who stepped up to chaperone tomorrow for the 8th grade Dance! I can't wait to see our 8th graders. Don't forget the required Release and Concent Form for all dance attendees (see below).
If you have a current 6th graders, please make sure that we have your child's updated shot records with the Tdap Booster. Seventh graders missing this update will not be allowed to start school on August 10th.
Parents of 8th graders - Thank you for all of your support throughout your child's years at Lawton Chiles. Your children are my first group of students to go all the way through LCMS with me as Principal. Thank you for sharing them with us. It has truly been a pleasure. I wish them the best of luck as they move on to high school and can't wait for them to come back and visit as the Class of 2027. Remember #alwaysapanther
Lastly, we are hearing rumors of a planned water fight the last day of school. This is exactly why no backpacks or string bags are allowed on the early dismissal days. Students can receive consequences on the last day that carry forward into the next school year, even if they are moving on to high school. Please encourage your children to not mess up a great year with a bad decision on the last day of school.
***Please be aware, the rollover to next school year does not happen until mid-July. Current 8th grade families will still continue to receive LCMS emails until then. DO NOT UNSUBSCRIBE! ALL SCPS schools are in the same system and unsubscribing would remove you from future high school emails as well. Please be patient until the rollover in July.
Have a great week and an amazing summer!
Dr. Melissa Laudani
Principal, Lawton Chiles MS
