Take your notes on the attached Doc in Google classroom only. Do not forget to look for a fun fact as well.
Internet Search
Meaning - An internet search is an entry into a search engine (like Google) that yields both paid and organic results. The paid results are the ads that appear at the top and the bottom of the page, and they are marked accordingly. The organic results are the unmarked results that appear in between the ads.
For example, do not enter a search term, say, “Abraham Lincoln,” and comb through pages of results that aren’t related to your research. Instead use specific words to narrow it down (Lincoln beards, Lincoln Logs, Lincoln assassination).
Do not stop at the first search result, which you may deem to be the most trustworthy. Actually, this is often a paid advertisement. Show persistence by continuing to pursue information to gain a broad perspective.
It is not your fault, but do to technology, you are used to information on demand. So when you can’t find the answers to your questions after you've spent a few minutes poking around online, you may grow frustrated and throw in the towel. Try showing persistence in information searching despite challenges.
Always ask your parents before you go online, and if anything comes on the screen that you know is bad/wrong, close your browser and tell your parents.
