Today, we are going to continue crafting our stories by telling the end. We will write a solution to the problem and an extended ending that shows what the character has learned.
Let's look at page 12. Notice how the author again shows the passage of time by saying, "Finally, one day". This tells the reader the story is coming to a conclusion and sets up the opportunity to introduce the solution to the problem.
The author here uses very little action and almost no description, but there is a great deal of dialogue.
Let's reread pages 13-15. Notice how the author solves the problem and let's us know the theme, Sometimes it takes more than an apology to make up for something we did that hurt someone else.
Use the Fifth section of your theme based organizer and section six of your story diamond to continue your story by writing the solution and extending the ending.
