Publishing

Today, you will publish your Literary essay and turn it in for a grade.  This will be a TWO day lesson.  You will not finish it all today.  Continue working on and finishing it the next day.

2.  Start a new Google Docs and call it (Literary Essay Published).

3.  Make sure to use double spaced, 12 point, and Arial or Calibri

4.  You may copy and paste parts of your essay from your rough draft, but you should not just copy and paste the whole thing and submit it.  Remember the point of publishing is to make it better by making sure you have done the best you can utilizing all the lessons we have done and putting into action all the new skills you have learned.

5.  Use your pillar, rubric, and rough draft.

6.  Edit and revise your essay.  Use your rubric - did you do everything?

7.  Submit it for a grade.

When you are finished with the assignment, here is what you can do:

• Just keep writing. 

• Keep adding seeds. 

• Add to a already started seed.

• Decide to take a seed through the writer’s process.

• Reread your writing.

• Edit your writing.

• Work with a writing partner (with permission).

• NEVER say "I am finished"

You need to be writing for a minimum of 30 minutes.
