For this lesson, I want to show you that everyone chooses their words for a purpose. Just like advertisers choose words to encourage us to have certain thoughts and feelings about a product, authors choose their words to try to get us to have certain thoughts and feelings about a character or a topic.
Often, commercials are trying to sell us ideas about ourselves. We are going to take a look at how advertisers make very careful choices about what they include in commercials. We are also going to consider how these choices make us feel about the product.
