Today, we are going to look at good word choices when we are comparing and contrasting two things and finish filling out our essay pillar.
In our literary essay we are going to be comparing/contrasting two different characters from two different stories. The characters are going to have some thing in common (compare). This is what will be linked to your theme. They are also going to have some differences (contrast). This will be the basic plot of the stories. Utilizing key words will help your essay flow and stay organized. Go back into your essay pillar and use the Compare/Contrast PDF to help you select ways to compare/contrast your characters. Your essay pillar should be completed today.
When you are finished with the assignment, here is what you can do:
Just keep writing.
Keep adding seeds.
Add to a already started seed.
Decide to take a seed through the writer’s process.
Reread your writing.
Edit your writing.
Work with a writing partner (with permission).
NEVER say "I am finished"
You need to be writing for a minimum of 30 minutes.
