For this lesson, you will become an expert, create a lesson, and teach the class.
You will be placed in a group and assigned a certain section. You will have Four days to complete the preparing to teach directions below:
Read, learn, and understand the selection that has been assigned to you. Remember you are the expert on this and will teach it to the rest of the class.
Create a Google Slides presentation that your group will use to teach the class.
Must use Google Slides
Each member of your group must create at least one slide in the presentation.
Put your name on the bottom right corner of the slide(s) you create.
Must have a display. ex- poster, prop, etc..
Include class interaction. ex- question/answer, movement, group, etc..
Create a handout.
Include information the class will need to know.
Develop a quiz.
Must have at least 5 questions.
Questions can be multiple choice, fill in the blank, true/false, and open response.
Decide if it will be open book/handout or not.
Practice and rehearse your lesson. Make sure to time it and keep it under 15 minutes.
Show the Google Slides presentation.
Everyone MUST speak/teach.
Use your display to teach something.
Give out your handout.
Involve the class.
Give and collect the quiz.
Keep it under 15 minutes.
These are not in any particular order. Although the quiz should be last.
Grade the quizzes.
Use this rubric to see how you will be graded before, during, and even when you are not presenting/teaching.
