Lesson 15 - Facts - Opinions and Subtopic 4
Today, you will first review your paragraphs for your first, second, and third subtopic by seeing if you included facts and not opinions. Than, you will make improvements to those paragraphs based on what you learned about facts. Finally, you will write a paragraph for your fourth subtopic, add a heading, add a picture, and caption.

2. Including facts NOT opinions in your Paragraphs
You can support your point or information with facts.
SAMPLE FACTS
Names - important people involved with the topic
Dates - when events started or ended or other important dates related to the topic
Places - specific names of locations related to the topic
Amounts - cost of items or amounts (quantity)
Expert Vocabulary - terms or specific names related to the topic
3. Follow this structure and any newly learned concepts from learning about facts to write your fourth paragraph.
Hook (should already be done)
Topic Sentence (should already be done)
Supporting Details
Conclusion
Linking Sentence to Next Topic
Make sure not to just list your facts. It should flow.
4. Add a heading (title) to your paragraph.
Be creative.
Do NOT just call it the name of your topic.
5. On the next page add a picture and caption.
Use a picture that relates to the subtopic.
Add a caption that describes what the picture is about.
You will have 2 days to revise your first, second, and third subtopics and complete your subtopic 4 paragraph, heading, picture, and caption.
