GOOGLE SLIDES PROJECT DIRECTIONS
Work collaboratively with your group to develop at least a 5 slide slide show that illustrates your groups deep understanding of the book.
1. We will use Google Slides to make your slide show.
2. Each person in your group must create at least one slide of the slide show.
3. The first 5 slides are mandatory, while the last 3 slides are options you can select.
4. Each person in your group must create at least one slide from slides 2-5. Slide one must be done, but can not be the only slide a club member makes, so if there are 4 people in your group you will do slides 2-5 plus someone will also make the cover slide since these are mandatory. If there are 5 people in your group you will do slides 2-5 plus someone will also make the cover slide and the fifth person can choose either slide 6, 7, or 8 to do, etc.
5. Each slide in the slide show will have a different objective as listed below:
Cover - Introduce your book club and your book. (Mandatory)
Character(s) - All about the main character(s) (Mandatory)
Setting - All about the setting (Mandatory)
Plot - What was the problem? Think story mountain. (Mandatory)
Solution - How was the problem solved? Think story mountain. (Mandatory)
Point of View - Who is telling the story? How does this effect the story? (Option)
Mood - What is the feeling developed in the text? (Option)
Theme - What is the main message the writer is trying to convey? (Option)
6. Be creative. You can add color and graphics, but make sure the slides are readable and relay the required information.
7. To get started, just start a new Google Slide and share it with your group, so everyone has access.
8. You will present this to the class.
YOU WILL HAVE THREE DAYS TO WORK ON THIS PROJECT.
