Cloud4Bio 1st plenary session

In this session, Deloitte and Google will demonstrate how Google's cloud-based Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW), Healthcare API, and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) can be used to store, de-identify, warehouse, and analyze medical record data. CDW provides a scalable platform for organizations to consolidate and de-identify various types of healthcare data (HL7, FHIR, and DICOM) to enable analytics, visualization, and reporting. Specifically, we will use clinical data from Synthetic Mass (a synthetic dataset in FHIR format composed of 1 million patients modeled after the state population of Massachusetts) to demonstrate the above workflow (store, de-identify, warehouse, analyze).

DCEG's increasing reliance on serverless cloud resources (managed services hosted by GCP) and advances towards Data Commons API ecosystems will be center stage. Projects like Connect, which are already developing infrastructure using API ecosystems such as Healthcare API, will be discussed, and so will the general pattern of FaaS backed by NoSQL Firestore, and analytic AI services like AutoML and participant-facing MLKit.
