AWARDING OF HONORARY HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS

The Lewiston School Committee authorizes the awarding of honorary Lewiston High School diplomas to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to Lewiston Public Schools or to the city of Lewiston, but who did not graduate from Lewiston High School. 

The conferral of honorary Lewiston High School diplomas provides a special opportunity for the Lewiston School Committee to recognize persons for their outstanding accomplishments and/or their contributions to Lewiston Public Schools or to the city of Lewiston. 

The Lewiston School Committee authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to develop and implement procedures to support this policy.
