In Adobe Illustrator
RE-Design your Logo to optimize a single color print for a Vinyl Decal
1. Generate a SINGLE Color Image from your design.
This should be in high contrast with lines thicker than 2pt.
2. Save as a JPEG flat image.
a. You can use the snip or clipping tool and save as a JPEG file.
or
b. In Illustrator -File - Export - Export as.. JPEG
AI and SVG files do not work very well.
Move to the Vinyl Cutter Machine
3. Using CUT STUDIO Software on the computer next to the Vinyl Cutter Import JPEG Image
AI and SVG files do not work very well.
Image Outline
Right click to bring up Image Outline window
Adjust slider on Image Outline to desirable outline. You may loose or gain parts of the image by adjusting this.
Separate your outline from your original image. Place your outline at the bottom left corner. This represents the 0,0 origin of your page.
Cutting Setup
Prepare for cutting.
Select Cutting Setup
Select Roland GX-24
Change MEDIA SIZE
Select Get from Machine
If you have loaded the machine correctly then you dimensions should change automatically.
Select OK
Resize the Image to fit new document
Consider space and waste. Can you fit more on the page?
Check for:
Image size
Color separations
Layout
Material Setup
Roller Wheel placement
Roller Lock engaged

Separate your colors
Screen clipping as a JPEG image
Paste into Cut Studio (found on Vinyl Cutter Computer)
Create a screen capture (Snip) of your three separated designs. Be sure to keep proportions (WxH) accurate.
Continue to make separate color "Image Outlines"
Cut each color separatley.
