This is my name logo design using Adobe Illustrator. It represents my new knowledge of illustrator. This is a nickname I have been given by my cousin "Planet Pat". This took a couple of days to finalize the logo.

I took my design and brought it over to the laser cutter. This was my first time working with this tool and I had Josh S help me figure out the different aspects of the tool. I was able to learn about the laser cutter and how it works.

Together Josh and I created these attachments out of cardstock learning to paste things and cute out cardstock. some of the attachments were fairly easy while some were challenging to complete like the cone.

This was one of the first projects we finished in the spring rotation prototyping class. We were given the challenge of creating a 2x2x2 box out of cardstock and then out of cardboard. This sounds easy but it was challenging learning to cut precisely. We also forgot about taking into account the thickness of the cardboard.

This was the first stage of my logo design. I narrowed this down from 15 designs. This was the final sketch before I took it to the computer. I learned how to narrow down my designs to the best one and give that one drawing more effort and design.

This was the digital design of my robot. I learned how to use Inkscape during this project. This was a fairly quick project but I learned a lot about the program for the future projects.

This is my final cut out of my robot. I cut it out on the laser cutter with the design being downloaded through Inkscape. This is a 1x1 inch robot and is now hanging in the room by everyone else's robot. This was my second time on the laser cutter and I felt more comfortable on the machine.

These are the lessons on the Tinker Cad website. We had to complete these before beginning to work on our 3D logo. These helped me learn how to use the website and now I can begin working on my planet pat logo.

This is the sticker that I made out of my logo. I had to change my logo slightly because my land for the planets would not show up on the actual sticker. Becuase of this I learned that it is easier to simplify my design instead of making it work. This was also my first experience with this machine and I learned how to print out stickers

This is my 3D printout of my logo. I created this on Tinker Cad and was a difficult process. I learned how to use the printer and the program. I also learned how to bring a design from a different website and make it work with my project. This is the final piece of the logo project that I will complete.

This is my 3rd project on the laser cutter. This is my name tag I created in illustrator. I learned how to make tabs for the two pieces to connect. I am getting better at using the laser cutter and making projects by myself.

This is everything in the glasses project. I began by working on sketches of designs that I was interested in. I narrowed it down to one design and sketched it with dimensions. I then took this and moved it to a cardboard prototype and realized in needed to make changes. I tweaked my design several times while making cardboard cutouts with the laser cutter. after three cardboard cuts, I finally was ready to go to the wood cut out. I learned a lot about this project and learned how to adapt and overcome challenges in design and make it all work out in the end.

This is my final project. I took everything that I learned over the semester and put it into this final project. I originally wanted to do more of a box but I was challenged to make something harder. I learned how to put things together with new glue and how to design things to line up perfectly after sanding them. This really shows I learned the whole lab in the semester because of the different equipment that I had to use.
