Day 1
I first started out finding a photo of something that I want to make. After that, I made the A in Inkscape and started to work out the dimensions.
Day 2
On the second day I finished getting the plans and printed them out. I then crafted them together using hot glue. Here is the rough draft
I noticed that I had a lot of dimensions that were wrong on my rough draft so I spent the rest of class fixing those so that the next day I could print my wooden copy.
Day 3
Today I printed out the wooden sides for the letter, They ended up being the right size except for 2 of them so I have to go back and change that. Next class I will print the other cardboard A with the slots that go below it.
Day 4
I did a lot of thinking this class mainly on the design on my A and what I was going to put on it. Luckily, I was at the front of the line so I was able to cut relatively quickly. But when I first looked and the slots they seemed a tiny but small so I quickly edited the file and waited until I would be able to print again.
Day 5
In this class I mainly worked on a computer thinking how I could be able to incorporate Hawken and the fab lab. I came up with this design:
