I am working on the Remember Charms with Amrita. These remember charms are going to be small, laser cut/engraved pieces of wood that help you to remember to do everyday things. these charms could be anything like clothing, groceries, sporting events/practices, or even a custom made charm for some people.
day 2: was sick
day 3: started drawing out our charms. going to put them on Inkscape soon.
day 4: we have realized thanks to Mr. DiGiorgio that what we could be doing things a lot easier. we are going to start re-drawing and hopefully start cutting today. IMG_20170127140749.jpg
Day 5: we've done it. Our first charm is cut and is on a chain. working on two more today and going to color them all in with different material. one with crayon, another with colored pencils, and another with a marker.
Update: we only got one charm done today but its complete.
Day 6: Amrita got some drawings done for some new charms, still have to cut them out yet. also we have another charm done and on the chain.
Day 7: with Amrita's drawings done, we got a lot accomplished. today we cut four new charms and cut out three new copies of the hats and colored them all with different material to show people how they can customize their charms.
Day 8: so today was super productive. we drew and designed five new charms and designed a logo for the charms as a whole. what we plan to do is make these next five charms and put the logo on a small piece of cardboard paper, and use it as a means of packaging.
Day 9: today we cut the five charms and we cut one copy of the cardboard paper packaging. we put all of our charms on one key chain as a visual of everything that we have done.
Day 10: Mr.D suggested that we change our packaging design, so thats what today was all about. we changed our original design, which was similar to a necklace packaging you would find in some gift shop on vacation, to something quick and simple. our first problem was that we were etching our logo and "reminder charms." this took the machine a solid 45 seconds and was inefficient. we changed our design
