Design Fundamentals
Design Fundamentals is an alternative first-year visual arts course focusing on work in the Fab Lab. Students are introduced to the full fabrication process from planning through creation, using the variety of materials used in the Lab. Students who wish to continue work in the visual arts must take one additional semester of a Fab Lab course (currently Engineering and Prototyping 1) and then may move into other visual arts courses beginning in the junior year. Intensive visual arts offerings are available to all students beginning in the sophomore year, pending space.
