and we made ...

Penny Davidson: PS

Mini-books. We fold one out of an A4 sheet and my requirement is that it’s non-fiction (our focus) so has a contents page, page numbers, topic headings and features they can add to make it mini non-fiction.

We have been making other non-fiction books this term so they’ve got experience but engagement has been 100% as I encourage them to find a topic they are an expert on or passionate about.

Some are glueing books together, some are making a series, some kids making them in the library at lunch and at home.

Ideas include soccer books, Minecraft books, rules for games, recipe books, books about their fav celebs, specific topics like planes or cars (we are a boy heavy school), joke books. They keep coming up with so many ideas.

So much fun!
