Mentoring

Let's connect and support each other, and share our experience and/or expertise.

If you feel you are in a position to mentor a new TL or someone who needs support in the role, please email tlccin2018@gmail.com

Likewise, if you feel you would benefit from a mentor TL, please contact PLCC

Remember too, that other library networks and associations may also offer mentoring opportunities.

Mentors

Annette Allen: Robert Townson PS

I’ve been a TL for 28 years over my 42 year DET teaching career at Leumeah PS, Casula PS & currently at Robert Townson PS, Raby. I still love my career!!

Working with students, teachers, exec teams & parents is always the best part of my role but I love the running & organising of the library job just as much.

I would be happy for others to contact me, visit our library, chat,or text ... if & when you want or need to. Happy to help & show others my tips & tricks!

Contact Annette on (wk) 02 9824 7411 or at annette.allen@det.nsw.edu.au

Emily G Williams

I am very happy to help people with Google Drive, Google Classroom and how to make 'how to create' videos in teams. I am also keen to support fellow TLs in the use of Canva, Oliver and library reporting.

Kathy Wyber:

I've been a Primary TL for 16 years and over that time have gone from full RFF to only team teaching including library times. I can help with how to advocate for your role, programming, annual school reporting and how to attract volunteers to your school library.
