SWSSLN

The South Western Sydney School Library Network is passionate about school libraries leading future-focused learning to enable world-ready, information fluent students who are agile, effective and ethical learners.

SWSSLN is a not-for-profit NSW DoE school library network. Our fabulous committee members volunteer their time to design quality SWSSLN professional learning conferences for Teacher Librarians AND Library School Administrative Officers in the SW Sydney region. We are one of only a handful of school library networks in NSW who design professional learning for all school library staff. All are welcome.

Registrations are open for the SWSSLN Term 4 Professional learning. It is face-to-face!!!

The theme is Inclusive Libraries, creating safe learning spaces for everyone…       (This will account for 5 hours of elective professional development)

We have put together a range of experts to address the needs of all our diverse and sometimes marginalised students.

From Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Wellbeing for All, Creating Inclusive Collections, Supporting our Gender Diverse students to a First Nations Perspective.

Together we can learn how we can further enhance the spaces and learning environments in our library to support, encourage and engage all learners with practical strategies you can implement immediately.

Best of all this is an in-person conference with sponsors and opportunities to purchase resources to support you in creating your inclusive library.

When: Thursday 27th October 2022

              8:50am- 3:10pm (registrations open from 8:30am)
