positive space - In a three-dimensional artwork, the space occupied by the raised area or artwork itself.
sculpture in the round - A form (three-dimensional) artwork that can be seen from all sides.

Draw 2 or 3 sketches of a figure in different poses then choose your favorite, then create a foil figure of the sketch and glue it to a base, then add a 3D object to complete the scene.
